Shipping & Delivery Policy

​At Boston & Century, we take immense care in ensuring your unique finds travel safely from our doors to yours. Because our collection ranges from delicate decor to substantial heirloom furniture, we utilize a variety of specialized shipping methods.

​1. Small Objects & Decor

​For smaller items, we use standard courier services to ensure trackable, efficient delivery across New Zealand.

​Carriers: Primarily NZ Post and Aramex.

​Dispatch: Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1–3 working days.

​Tracking: You will receive a tracking link via email as soon as your order is on its way.

​2. Furniture & Large Items (Freight)

​Due to the size, weight, and fragile nature of antique furniture, these items require specialized handling.

​Carriers: We partner with trusted freight providers, including Mainfreight and other specialist furniture movers.

​Timeframes: Delivery times for freight vary depending on your location and the carrier’s regional schedule. We will provide an estimated delivery window once your order is confirmed.

​Important Requirement (Driver Assistance): For all large furniture deliveries, the buyer is responsible for providing assistance to the driver at the point of delivery. This ensures the item is moved safely and minimizes the risk of damage. If you are unable to assist, please contact us in advance to arrange a two-person delivery (additional fees may apply).

​3. Christchurch & Local Delivery

​We are proud to offer a personal delivery service for our local customers.

​Area: Within 50km of Christchurch.

​Timeframe: Typically delivered within 2 working days.

​Service: These deliveries are handled directly by the Boston & Century team to ensure the highest level of care.

​4. Nationwide Coverage

​We ship anywhere in New Zealand. Please note that delivery to rural (RD) addresses or remote areas may incur additional time and surcharges as dictated by our carriers.

​5. Damage in Transit

​While we pack every item with extreme care, the nature of antiques means they must be handled gently.

​Inspection: Please inspect your item immediately upon arrival.

​Reporting: If an item arrives damaged, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery. Please provide clear photos of the damage and the packaging to assist with our insurance claim.

​6. Local Pickup

​Customers are welcome to collect their purchases from our Christchurch location by appointment. Please select the "Local Pickup" option at checkout, and we will contact you to coordinate a time.
